This is the new sweet spot for DACs |

I searched for a DAC for years before I settled on the Zhaolu D2.5C, and it has transformed my digital rig. I prefer listening to vinyl, so I didn't want to spend 600 to 1500 dollars for a DAC, which seems to be the sweet spot for outboard DACs. The Zhaolu met all of my criteria: reasonably priced, upgradeable, and sold by folks who genuinely want me to enjoy what I buy from them.
My Zhaolu now has about 400 hours on it, and I'm hearing more air and a far wider and deeper soundstage than I ever have from digital music.
It's much easier to hear different instruments in different locations, and hearing layers in music, such as choral voices, background vocals, double-tracked guitars, is now much easier. Listening to CDs is now a more engaging and satisfying experience. The Zhaolu D2.5C has improved the audio from my video DVDs and cable box quite a bit, too.
