The KingRex UD-01 USB DAC is designed specifically to get the music out of your computer and into your audio system. It is an excellent solution to the ever growing demand of HI-Fi enthusiasts seeking to use the humble PC as an audiophile-grade  source.

This tiny audio powerhouse works natively on Windows and Macintosh systems.  Set-up is a easy as pluggiing it in. Power comes from the 12VDC outboard power supply or the USB cable (both included).  

The UD-01 built around the Burr Brown PCM 2702E DAC chip and a large internal buffer to store audio packets.The Burr-Brown OPA2604 low pass filter acts as the output stage preamp and removes residual digital garbage. Combined with the Texas TL072 DC servo and low noise JFET op amps, the result is a more analog-sounding system..

KingRex PSU delivers ample reserve to meet the high-current voltage demands of low frequency transients. Like all other KingRex audio products the PSU is housed in stylishly well-constructed black-painted steel with a heavy (6mm-thick) anodized aluminum faceplate.

The PSU boasts a 48VA toroidal transformer (A dual-power design so internal wiring can set for 120VAC or 240VAC ), a transistor regulated power-stabilizing circuit with eight Nippon Chemicon aluminum electrolytic capacitors, 5 x 2200μF at AC input stage and 3 x 4700uF at DC output stage.

A standard IEC power entry module with switch and 1A/250V fuse allows easy power cord changes. If you're not in the USA or Canada, please check the options above to select the correct cord and voltage for your country.

Upgrade Your PSU's 12VDC Power Jack for a More Secure Fit and Better Connection
For only $35 you can replace the plastic board-mount DC power jack with a high-quality Switchcraft 2.1mm Panel Mount Jack. The Switchcraft's pin, spring and terminals are plated copper alloy. Mounting, bushing and hex nut are machined and plated brass.
