The amods Trends TA-10.1 Stereo Amplifier updates the Mardis V3 with OFC "6-nines" wire, new wire routing and improved grounding.
Stock input caps are replaced with much higher quality metalized polypropylene capacitors for even more detail, less distortion and overall more musical sound. This helps the amp resolve so much of the micro-detail that defines the ambiance of the recording venue. Not “in your face” detail, but subtle, beautiful detail that belongs to live music.
The two stock tank caps are replaced with better and larger 2700µF Panasonic FM series caps for tighter, more accurate bass, improved dynamics and channel separation.
Copper shields are supplied for the air-core coils to keep RFI (radio frequency interference) from getting into places where it doesn’t belong – like your input signal.
We replace the stock pot with the Precision Electronic Components (PEC) volume pot. Made in Canada, this all-carbon POT with a solid-carbon wiper is resin sealed and built to military specs.
We spent a long time searching for a great pot and we found something very special with the PEC. It is transparent and very musical – more detailed than the Alps Blue, but with the mass and substantive build that the Alps lacks

Vampire CM-HEX RCA Connects and Vampire BP-HEX Speaker Binding Posts offer superior plating on both, and Teflon dielectrics on the RCA, for positive connections and outstanding sound quality.
The CMHEX is a chassis-mount female RCA made of brass copper plated, silver plated, and finally  gold plated. It has a Teflon dielectric.
The BP-HEX is a gold plated binding post made from one piece of hard brass, including the top nut. It is then copper plated, silver plated, and finally gold plated. This 1/4-inch post includes all mounting hardware.
 Input capacitors, power capacitors and air-core inductors are stabilized with adhesive to reduce vibration and ensure their stability during shipping.
Your power connection is very important, so the inexpensive stock coaxial power plug is replaced with a new high-quality Switchcraft 12VDC power jack. 
All this goes into a specially damped high-quality aluminum case, 6.25" long x 4.1" wide x 2.4" tall.
Volume is controlled with a solid machined aluminum knob; power with a front panel on/off rocker switch.
