Trends value-mod with tube preamp |

My Trends T-amp is powered by audio-magus battery supply. I have had the combination for 6 pleasant months. Trends TA is connected to a Xindax XA-3200MKII tube preamp, valves substituted with Mullard NOS. Speakers are Kef iQ9. This combination outplay by far my Musical Fidelity A300 amp. It also gives my 300B amp a tough match (Xindax preamp). Trends strengths are resolution, air around the instruments and 3-D. 300B gives somewhat more pleasant vocals. My opinion is that the character of the tube preamp is very well-preserved through the Trends. I strongly recommend tubes preamp in the front of Trends TA.
I also want to point out that audio-magus has given excellent service at my purchase.

Trends audio value mod on Klipsch la Scala |

I put this amp on my LA Scalas (with Al Klappenberger's ALK x-over) and wow! It is the best sound I ever heard on these speakers. It blew away my 2A3 power amp! I get air between musicians, lots of detail, bass, everything. I am listening to all sorts of music, but mainly to classical.
The Trends 10.1 stands proudly now between those big speakers - just like in the 6moons review.
