Drivers are a proprietary version of the exceptional HEMP Acoustics FR8C. This 8-inch full-range driver uses a HEMPMatrix™ 100-percent natural hemp cone, with a 20-ounce ferrite magnet and die-caste aluminum frame.
Hemp is a "natural" for speaker cones:
- Higher tensile strength than: wood pulp, banana fiber, or glass fiber.
- One of the highest strength mass ratios.
- Naturally breaks up cone resonances that plague other cone materials.
- More natural sounding tone, when compared to paper, kevlar, kenaf, aluminum, magnesium, ceramic, carbon fiber or any material we have researched.
As an added option, all Lotus Acoustics speakers are available with the revolutionary EnABL treatment.

ENCLOSURES are made of three-quarter-inch bamboo plywood. Selected for its exceptional beauty, strength and superior sonic characteristics, the ply consists of three layers of compressed bamboo, with each layer's grain running at a 90-degree angle to the adjacent layer.
All parts are CNC (Computer Numeric Control) cut for machining accuracy to within .01 %. Seams are secured with biscuit-joinery and Type I PVA glue. Every seam is sealed on the inside with a fillet of marine-grade thixotropic epoxy that rounds the right-angle intersections where the panels join, providing additional rigidity and reducing diffraction.
Internal bracing is done with three-quarter-inch HDF panels that have been specially treated, along with the entire enclosure interior, with a damping coating. Additional damping of critical surfaces is done with a proprietary meta-aramid acoustical material. Finally, the cabinets receive a hand-rubbed satin finish to bring out the full warmth and glow of the bamboo.
Floor spikes are precision-machined or solid brass and then plated with a durable black finish. Each cone spike weighs 86 grams and measures 1-1/4" diameter and 1-1/2" tall. The two-piece threaded tip design allows for precise level adjustment.
The Vampire speaker posts are one piece of hard brass, including the top nut. They are then copper plated, silver plated, and finally gold plated.
All internal wiring uses the shortest possible signal paths and oxygen-free copper with natural cotton insulation.
The White Lotus Series is easily identified by the marquetry lotus inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the front of every speaker
All Speakers come with a 30-day In-home Audition and are warrantied against manufacturer's defects for 5 years.
